Choreographer Damien Jalet traverses the Louvre as if lost in an enchanted forest. Dancers and musicians become smugglers, middlemen wandering between the world of works of art and the world of nocturnal visitors. Traversed by the magnetism and the mythology of sculptures, they metamorphose and invite the spectators to a haunting and visceral ritual where roles of observing and being observed, of living and being petrified are reversed.

Close collaborator of Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (with whom he signed Babel (words) and d’avant) and director Arthur Nauzyciel, Damien Jalet is surrounded by 11 dancers of the Eastman company (Aimilios Arapoglou, Meytal Blanaru, Navala ‘Niku’ Chaudhari, Vittoria De Ferrari Sapetto, Leif Federico Firnhaber, Damien Fournier, Clara Furey, Alexandra Gilbert, Kazutomi ‘Tsuki’ Kozuki, James O’Hara, Damien Jalet) and students from the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp; musicians Winter Family, Sofyann ben Youssef of Rayhazone, Mahabub and Sattar Khan. Bernhard Willhelm, Rein Vollenga, Undercover and Alexandra Mein, collaborated for the costume design.

Les Médusés is presented during three nocturnes in the Louvre museum in Paris. It consists of around 10 short pieces that are being performed continuously. Some of the material derives from Babel(words) and Three Spells. Next to that Damien Jalet created new solos, duets and trios.
