Krystyna Krzyżanowska-Loboda
Krystyna Krzyżanowska-Loboda is a graduate of the Academy of Music in Katowice and the Postgraduate Voice Emission Study at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. She also completed post-graduate studies at the Faculty of Organization and Management at the Silesian University of Technology, specialization: Education Management. She obtained the second qualification for the position of Adjunct Professor II in the field of conducting vocal and vocal-instrumental ensembles at the Music Academy in Warsaw. She received the title of full Professor of Musical Arts from the President of the Republic of Poland in 2015. Currently, she is a professor at the Music Academy in Katowice.
She lead many bands, including The Echo Men's Choir in Katowice, the Canticorum Chamber Complex in Gliwice, the Ogniwo Mixed Choir in Katowice, the Silesian State Philharmonic Choir (as an assistant to the choir conductor) or the Academic Choir of the Silesian University of Technology. She leads and conducts vocal and choir ensembles at the Music Academy in Katowice. In 1996, she founded and runs the Academic Music Ensemble of the Silesian University of Technology (AZM), with which she has won numerous awards and distinctions in Poland and abroad.
She has been honored with numerous decorations for her artistic work and is often invited as a juror of choir competitions. She has also recorded many pieces in Polish radio and television. She works with many world-famous instrumentalists, vocalists and conductors, on projects related to music of various areas. In addition, she is the Artistic Director of the Gliwice-Zabrskie District ŚZChiO, the Vice President of the Gliwice Music Society, and the Society of Friends of Gliwice, co-organizer and juror of the Cantate Deo Festival and a member of the German Music Society. At the Academy of Music in Katowice, she leads, among others classes on choral conducting and vocal ensembles of the Vocal-Acting Institute.
Since 2007 she has also been running the Choir of the Gliwice Cathedral. As part of this activity, she performs with the formation of the parish Choirs of the Connected Diocese, among others at the annual Autumn Sacred Song Festival.
In 2012-2015 she was the head of the Gliwice Music Theater Choir. From 2013, she successfully became the head of the Silesian Opera Choir in Bytom, which, apart from participating in performances (some of them awarded the Golden Mask), also gives independent concerts at the headquarters and outside.
