Gabriele Miracle
Graduated with honors in percussion at the Conservatory of Perugia, Gabriele Miracle devoted his studies to early music collaborating with Ensemble Micrologus in recordings and performances in Italy and abroad, taking part in projects with artists such as Lina Sastri, Giovanna Marini, Daniele Sepe and Banco del Mutuo Soccorso. Over the years, he was called to perform as a percussionist and arranger of the rhythmic score for several soloists and groups of early music: I Turchini di Toni Florio, Concerto Romano of Alessandro Quarta, Angelo Branduardi, Private Musicke, Pierre Pitzl, Magdalena Kozena, La Pifarescha, Soqquadro Italiano, I Barocchisti of Diego Fasolis, Cecilia Bartoli, Medusa of Patrizia Bovi, I Bassifondi of Simone Vallerotonda.
Always interested also in composing and arranging, he has the chance to experience in these fields, taking part in projects of theater and dance: with Lilli Greco and Lucio Gregoretti he wrote the music for the Vedova Scaltra directed by Lina Wertmuller, and then looking after the musical arrangements of the show Jonah by Domenico Castaldo. Since 2007 as performer, arranger and composer he collaborates with the choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui in the realization of the shows Myth (2007), Babel(words) (2010) award-winner for best dance show of the year, Play (2010) in collaboration with the Indian dancer Shantala Shivalingappa, 4D (2013) and Icon (2016), taking part in the world tours of each of these. He composed in collaboration with the Franco-Israeli band Winter Family the music for the choreography Les Meduses and Yama by the Belgian choreographer Damien Jalet. In 2012 he released his first solo project Miracle – L’argento e la magia produced by Lilli Greco. In 2015 he composed the music for the show Dionysos by Antonella Arnese - Company Dansehabile Geneva.
