Miharu Toriyama was born in 1968 in Japan, where she’s based.

Her concept ‘Dynamic Design’ comes from her experience as an accredited master of Japanese traditional dance. She creates unique costumes featuring a fusion of traditional Japanese and western styles.

Miharu began her career at a major fashion house in Japan, working as a pattern-maker for 10 years. Following her work as a pattern-maker, she gained experience as a fashion designer at a company dealing with import brands for 3 years.

In 2003, she launched “Michelle”, her own fashion line. In 2006 she shifted her base from Osaka to Ehime Prefecture, which is her hometown. Enjoying the blessings of nature over there, and also respecting the thoughts of users, Miharu commits herself to creating costumes that make people's life shine.
