Born in Argentina, Daniel was educated in Buenos Aires at the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colon. He won several ballet competitions and then joined Ballet de Santiago in Chile at the age of 16.

He has worked with companies such as Teatro Argentino, Teatro San Martin and Carte Blanche, where he created and performed works by Ohad Naharin, Amanda Miller and Robyn Orlin, among others.

Daniel is an important contributor to the works of Russell Maliphant and Ina Christel Johannessen, creating with them large parts of the choreographic and compositional material, and working as their assistant.

Since 2005 he has worked closely with director Alan Lucien Oeyen and his company Winter Guests for several award-winning productions, as a dancer and, most recently, as an actor.

Daniel was nominated for outstanding dancer by the 2004 Critics’ Survey of ballet-tanz and received first prize at the International Competition for Choreographers in Hannover, Germany in 2007 for his choreographic debut.

The much acclaimed solo AfterLight (Part 1), created by Maliphant for Daniel, was listed in the highlights of 2009 by The Telegraph, Daily Express and again in 2010 by The Observer. It was nominated for a Laurence Olivier award and secured Maliphant a UK Critics’ Circle National Dance award for best choreography, and the piece was also broadcast by the BBC. Daniel ranked first place in Dance Europe’s outstanding performances of 2009 and was awarded a UK Critics’ Circle National Dance award for outstanding male modern dancer.

In 2011 Daniel performed Faun by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui to great critical response in the US. He also collaborated with Cherkaoui in TeZukA.
