B C Manjunath
Manjunath B Chandramouli, born in 1976 in India into a musical family, is a talented mridanga player. The mridanga is an Indian drum that accompanies devotional music. He shared the stage with Indian and international musicians like sitar maestro Pandit Ravishankar, Turkish sufi singer Kani Karaka, Italian pop musician Lucio Dalla or American trombone player Robin Eubanks. He also played for composers, Rafael Reina and Riccardo Nova, and organizations like Conservatorium of Amsterdam, Zagreb Music Biennale 2003, North Sea Jazz festival 2003, Ictus Ensemble, Quintetto Bibiena or Het Nederlands Fluit Orkest. Manjunath has performed in all the major cultural centers of South India and in more than 40 countries worldwide. He has given numerous workshops all over the world.
In the dance field he has collaborated with choreographer Akram Khan on ma, third catalogue and Gnosis, and with Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui on Bound and 生长genesis.
