"Valatri" recompensé au UK Music Video Awards pour Meilleure Chorégraphie
Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui received the Best Choreography award at the MVA Music Video Awards taking place at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London (UK) on Monday, October 28, 2013.
Cherkaoui: "This is by far the most awesome award I've ever received."
Valtari is a collaboration with Swedish director Christian Larson for Sigur Rós 'Valtari' Mystery Film Experiment, a series commissioned by the Icelandic band to herald the release of their new album Valtari, giving filmmakers total creative freedom yet the same budget to interpret the record. Cherkaoui enlisted Eastman-dancers James O’Hara and Nicola Leahey for this stirring piece.

In June 2013, the film world already awarded Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui's work with a Fred & Adele Astaire Award (New York) for Outstanding Choreographer in Joe Wright's film Anna Karenina (more info: http://merehansen.aisites.com/).
The UK Music Video Awards is the premier awards show for the music video industry in the UK, celebrating the most successful and creative videos of the year, and honouring the people who make the videos (the directors, producers, cameramen, editors, choreographers, and more) both here in the UK and around the world.
