Verdiano Cassone
Verdiano Cassone was born in Putignano, Italy, a province of Bari. He trained in different styles of dance at the local school, before obtaining a three-year degree with praise in July 2016 in DAMS - Disciplines of art, music and show - at the Università degli Studi Roma Tre. He began working professionally as a dancer when he was 14 years old, and continues to do so. A few notable credits are: Triple Bill choreographed by V. Giotta and Hell in the Cave directed by E. Romita and G. Frallonardo, both at the Castellana Grotte in Italy. In May 2015 he worked with the D.I.A. Company in Once Upon A Time at Teatro Vascello, in Rome, choreographed by N. Bremec & M. Rynia, C. Fara, E. Frascati, G. Montaruli, M. Pogliani and L. Schiavo. In 2016, Verdiano worked under the direction of Giuliano Peparini for House Party, an Italian TV show. He had the pleasure of dancing in Collettivo Trasversale, a theatre production, directed and choreographed Macia Del Prete in Milan. He traveled to the USA in May 2017 to perform for the World Dance Movement International Company during the annual Open House of the EU Embassies at the Italian Embassy in Washington DC. Returning to Italy, Verdiano performed in TogetherHereWeAre by Veronica Peparini in the arena of Verona. He was delighted to dance in the acclaimed musical Romeo&Giulietta Ama e cambia il mondo (national tour), a theatrical show by Giuliano Peparini, choreographed by Veronica Peparini. After working with Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui at World Dance Movement in July 2018, he was invited to perform in the Italian and British premiere of Icon, a co-production between GöteborgsOperans Danskompani and Eastman at TorinoDanza Festival and Sadler’s Wells in London.
