Olivia Ancona
Olivia Ancona was born in San Francisco in 1989, raised in Portland Oregon and London. Olivia is an alumnus of the Juilliard School in New York City. Simultaneously performing with Italian Choreographer Luca Veggetti at Columbia University’s Miller Theater, the Guggenheim Museum, in a one-woman show entitled “Nothing” in Milan (2009), the ballet MAA in Paris and NOTATIONOTATIONS at the drawing center in New York (2013).
In 2010-2012 Olivia joined the Batsheva ensemble under the directorship of Ohad Naharin, where she also studied to become a certified gaga teacher. In 2012-14 she helped found and dance in the Israeli choreographer, Sharon Eyal’s new troupe, L-E-V. In January 2014 Olivia began her relationship with Eastman/Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui while performing "Faun" in 4D. She will join the Royal Swedish Ballet in Stockholm for the 2014/15 season.
