The young Belgian soprano Laurence Servaes studied at the Royal College London under Russell Smythe and graduated in 2013 from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels where she studied with Dina Grossberger. She has also appeared in masterclasses with Udo Reinemann, Peter Schreier, Malcolm Martineau, Sir Thomas Allen and Christoph Pregardien.

Following her studies, she joined the Belgian International Opera Academy, where she sang Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Aréthuse in Charpentier’s Actéon, Damigella in L’incoronazione di Poppea, and Romy Schneider in the contemporary opera Elle est moi und töte mich by Joris Blanckaert. She made her debut at the Festival of Flanders as Bastienne in Bastien und Bastienne and premiered the roles of Juliette in the new opera Paternel and the role of Claudette in Chut! by Frank Nuyts at the Muziekcentrum De Bijloke Ghent.

She has been the soprano soloist in W.A. Mozart’s Davide Penitente with Sigiswald Kuijken, J.S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio with Wolfgang Katschner, Christus Oratorium (J.S. Bach) with Akademie für alte Musik Berlin, C.P.E. Bach's Magnificat with Hartmut Rohde, J.S. Bach's St. John Passion with Koen Lamberechts, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater and G.P. Telemann’s St. Luke’s Passion with Michael Scheck, as well as several of Bach’s works with Paul Agnew.

In 2018 she debuts as the Nurse in the contemporary opera Shell Shock by N. Lens with the Philharmonie de Paris conducted by Bassem Akiki.
